Biography
Mike Fowler is a former Spartanburg chef. In 2001 he partnered with community activist, Thomas Simuel, and the Southside Barbershop to start a campaign called “Increase the Peace.” The campaign aimed to reduce neighborhood violence and was inspired by the Omega Boys Club/Street Soldiers Program, based in San Francisco, California, which treats violence as a public health issue.
