Biographical / Historical
Modeled after the Federal Writers Project, Hub City Writers Project was founded in 1995, has published works of fiction and non-fiction through Hub City Press; distributed scholarships; began sponsoring writers’ residences in 2007; and opened Hub City Bookshop in 2010.
The records of Hub City Writers Project are arranged in two primary series, PROJECTS, consisting primarily of projects that led to published works as well as unpublished manuscripts, and ADMINISTRATIVE, which includes founding materials, correspondence, and awards materials. Financial information is found throughout the collection. Four series are grouped by format: BOOKS, OVERSIZE ITEMS, COMPUTER DISCS, and SOUND RECORDINGS.
